Beijing’s Central Axis is about 7.8 kilometers long and runs from the Bell and Drum Tower to the Yongdingmen. Along this axis, there are many famous places, such as the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the National Stadium (Bird’s Nest). Some mysterious stories have also taken place here.
